Clear scope. Practical advice.

Complete houses and smaller structures

AJ undertakes full residential demolition, garages, sheds and targeted removals for renovations and extensions. The scope starts with your plans and the site conditions.

Planning before demolition

Site access, neighbouring properties, approvals and identified asbestos are discussed before work. Jamie can guide the conversation with your builder or project manager.

Waste removal and recycling

Demolition materials are separated and removed from site. Suitable materials are recovered for recycling where practical, with the property handed over ready for its next stage.

Agree the scope and approvals

We start with the property, your plans, access and what needs to stay. Confirm the approval pathway with your council, certifier or project team: a DA or complying development approval may be relevant, depending on the job. Required approvals and service disconnections need to be sorted before demolition starts.

Removal and material recovery

Once the agreed preparations are in place, demolition and loading are planned around the site. Identified non-friable asbestos is handled before affected demolition. Suitable building materials are separated for recovery where practical, with the remaining waste removed under the agreed arrangements.

The agreed handover

A useful handover starts with a clear scope: which structures, slabs and footings are removed, what remains, and the finish your builder needs. These photographs show different AJ jobs and stages; they are not a single before-and-after sequence.

Your questions, answered.

Can I enquire about a garage or shed rather than a whole house?

Yes. AJ undertakes smaller structures and targeted removals as well as full residential demolition. Describe what needs removing and share your plans and access details.

What happens to materials removed during demolition?

Materials are separated and removed from site. Suitable materials are recovered for recycling where practical, with the property handed over ready for its next stage. Discuss your intended finish when requesting a quote.

Can you remove only part of a building?

Yes. AJ undertakes full residential demolition, partial demolition and internal strip-outs. The quote identifies what is being removed and what needs to remain protected.

Can AJ handle asbestos before demolition?

AJ can coordinate licensed non-friable asbestos removal before the affected demolition work. Friable work requires an appropriately licensed specialist.

How do you determine the price and schedule?

The building, construction materials, access, waste volumes and asbestos requirements all affect the scope. Jamie discusses these before providing a quote and a schedule for your property.
